We saw falling snowflakes in Nebraska, but the ground was too warm to accumulate anything. But I did wear my snowflake pajama pants in celebration of the occasion! And again tonight I wore them in honor of the snow falling during the Pittsburgh Steelers game on TV.

Yankee Candle is having their BEST sale EVER! Buy two, get TWO free!! I think you've gotta have the coupon, which I had. My mom and I went and bought half the fragrances in the store! Okay, maybe not that many. I got four candles, she got four candles. It was wonderful. Oh how I love Yankee candles. As I type I am enjoying the sweet holiday-ish scent of Pomegranate Cider.

I'm already plotting my after-Thanksgiving-day shopping marathon. Allen Premium Outlets are opening at MIDNIGHT!! And other stores start opening at 4am. Haven't yet decided if I'll just stay awake all night and then sleep all day Friday... I'll keep you posted.

I might be one of the few people who LOVES the crappy economy right now. In a purely selfish mindset, I'm totally thrilled at the AMAZING sales happening everywhere. I'm running around like a fiend and stocking up on all the stuff I want to take back to Poland. I'd like to think of it as boosting the economy and helping our country. I'm a patriot.

As much as it might sound like I'm spending money like crazy, I'm actually not. I rebelled, on principle, while at a middle-school class play last week and refused to buy a candy bar at intermission for $1. Since when do they start charging a buck for a candy bar?!? They buy those things at Sam's for considerably less than that! And the parents sitting at the table to sell them are volunteers, it's not like they're getting paid for their time. WHY must they mark up the price for such a profit?! It's a middle-school play, not the movie theater!

Speaking of movie theaters... there are no good movies out right now.

I think I've run out of useless information to fill my space for the day. I'll go back to reading The Bourne Betrayal, I'm on page 93 and there's already been 2 amazing car-chase scenes! This will be a good movie....

Oh yes, and I've decided to resume my shameless birthday count-down this year since I'm back in America for the occasion. Everyone now has 6 shopping days left until my birthday. When I was younger I started at 27 days.... Obviously, I have matured.
